SUSTAIN THE LEGACY YOU HAVE ESTABLISHED, PASTOR IGBASAN CHARGES MINISTRY OF ECONOMIC PLANNING AND BUDGET STAFF.

The Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budger, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan resumed duty today as the new helmsman of the Ministry. He was accorded a rousing reception as the Permanent Secretary, Chief Bunmi Alade, the management and staff members converged on Ministry of Finance Conference Hall, dancing and singing to welcome him back.

In his address, an elated Pastor Igbasan charged the staff to put in their best in the discharge of their official duties. He maintained that everyone owed God, self and his employer the responsibility of being productive and progressive. According to him, he was here to add value to the system.

"We all need to add value to the government by ensuring that it meets set goals and targets. Our job is cut out for us. We have a big role to play in the implementation of the REDEEMED Agenda of the State government. Our assignments in the success of the programme include its coordination and supervision amongst others. We have to be prepared, with the right spirit, desire and willingness to excel. We are all created to give our best"

The Commissioner used the occasion to inform that the successes recorded since 2017 were the results of the collective contribution of all. According to him, all international bodies rated Ondo as the best in terms of performance in recent years.

"I am proud of the dilligence and cooperation you have shown in the last four years. Let us sustain the tempo by working in harmony, unity of purpose and sense of purpose to maintain the reputation already established."

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Chief Bunmi Alade noted the return of Pastor Igbasan to the Ministry was a welcome development. He explained that the Commissioner's fatherly role in the last four years had endeared him to all.

"Everyone jubilated on hearing that you had been returned as a Commissioner. You established and maintained a chemistry that made working a breeze. We are happy to have you back with us."

The Permanent Secretary charged the staff to pray for the Commissioner to succeed in the task ahead.

Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan was the Commissioner for the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget during the first term of Arakunrin Akeredolu in office.
