TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND AID COORDINATION (TAAC) DEPARTMENT
Introduction
The Technical Assistance and Aid Coordination (TAAC) department was created on the 2nd of May, 2018 as a result of the bifurcation of the Planning Department in the Ministry. The department has two divisions namely: Internal/Local Development Partners and International Development Partners.
Vision: To facilitate and coordinate Technical Assistance and Interventions for the overall development of Ondo State.
Mission/Mandate: To ensure that Ondo State enjoys significant support from Development Partners in order to achieve its robust developmental plans.
Functions of the TAAC Department
- Facilitating Development Partnership for Ondo State.
- Coordinating Development Partnership Programmes.
- Soliciting for Development programmes through the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
- Preparation and updating of Development partnership Loans, Grants etc.
- Maintaining strong links with Focal MDAs involved in Donor Assisted Programmes.
- Coordination/Sensitization on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Liaising with Federal Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and donor agencies like UNICEF, UNDP, European Union (EU), UNFPA etc., for funding of projects and programmes as well as technical assistance to the State.
- Serve as secretariat for:
- -World Bank coordination mechanism
- -State Committee on Food and Nutrition Committee (SCFN),
- -Technical Work Group (TWG) on Social Protection,
- -Inter-Ministerial Committee on UNICEF supported programmes
- Any other function(s) as may be assigned from time to time.
